The Friends of the Heinz Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum, founded in 1997 by concerned local citizens, has entered into an agreement with the United States Fish & Wildlife Service to work closely with them to develop and maintain refuge environmental education programs and facilities. We are a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation, and we are tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.

Why you might want to Join:

Your membership in the Friends organization helps us to help the refuge. Your membership gives our organization the strength of numbers as we compete for grants which will help to improve refuge facilities or programs. Perhaps best of all, your membership in the Friends organization gives you a chance to say "Thank you Tinicum, for all the
great times I have had here".
