Delaware
Valley Earth Force will host a free buffet luncheon
on October 19th, to recognize many local and regional
community partners, and provide an important networking
opportunity to government agencies, environmental organizations,
local businesses, financial institutions, Delaware Valley
Earth Force funders, the School District of Philadelphia's
administrative representatives, teachers, local and
state government officials, foundation and corporate
funding organizations, and interested students.
This
event will take place at Independence Seaport Museum,
4th floor Spinnaker Ballroom, beginning at 11 am.

Pennsylvania
Alliance for Environmental Education (PAEE)
will hold its Annual Conference on November 14 ~ 17
in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The theme is to be "Sowing
the Seeds for Change Through Environmental Education".
This conference is for everyone, especially classroom
teachers, environmental educators, administrators, college
students and anyone else interested in the environment.
Several
exciting Act 48 approved workshops, and field trips
will be held, as part of the conference. There will
be a silent auction to fund scholarships. For more information

Pre-Field
Trip Orientations and Field Trips
Thinking
of bringing your students to visit the refuge this fall?
Uncertain about available resources? Come to one of
our five hour Pre-Field Trip orientation seminars. Bring
a lunch, and wear clothes that you don't mind getting
dirty. Orientation includes:
A
Tour of the CEEC and Refuge Trails
Hands-on practice in the use of field trip equipment
Discovery of the library resources available to assist
in planning your trip.
Though
not required, attending a pre-trip orientation is recommended
before bringing students out to the refuge. All pre-trip
orientations are Act 48 approved for five hours.
Fall training dates, from 9 am till 2 pm, will

All teachers who wish to take advantage of the classrooms
or use refuge equipment must
