John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center and Gift
Shop is located in the Cusano Environmental Education Center
located in Philadelphia about one mile, as the crow flies,
north of the Philadelphia International Airport.

distance travel directions:
from outside the area to 8601 Lindbergh Avenue can be accessed
at www.mapquest.com

From
the South:
- Traveling
on I-95 North, take Exit 10 to Rt. 291 towards Airport.
- At
first traffic light, turn Left onto Bartram Ave.
- Follow
Bartram Ave 1.6 miles to first Left onto 84th Street at
Light.
- At
second traffic light at 0.5 miles, turn Left onto Lindbergh
Blvd.
From
the North:
- Traveling
on I-95 South, after the Girard Pt. Bridge, take Exit 14
Bartram Ave.
- At
the bottom of the ramp, go Straight onto Bartram Ave.
- At
the fourth light, turn Right onto 84th Street.
- Proceed
0.5 miles to Lindbergh Blvd, as above.
From
I-76, the Schuykill Expressway:
- Traveling
on I-76 East stay in left lanes after crossing the Schuykill
River and follow signs for Rt. 291 West / I-95 South / Airport.
- After
passing a tank farm on your right, turn Right onto Rt 291
West.
- Follow
signs to I-95 South.
- Traveling
on I-95 South, follow directions "From the North".
From
I-476, know locally as "The Blue Route":
- Traveling
on I-476 towards Chester/Philadelphia, stay in Left lanes
after passing
Exit 1 on I-476.
- Follow
signs for I-95 North toward Philadelphia and Airport.
- Follow
directions, "From the South".
From
the Airport: By car or Taxi:
- Follow
signs, etc. toward I-95 North.
- Stay
in right lane and follow signs to Island Ave.
- After
exiting from the ramp onto Island Ave., immediately get
into the left lane, go under I-95 and turn Left at the traffic
light onto Bartram Ave.
- Proceed
to next traffic light, turn Right onto 84th Street and thence
0.5 mile to Lindbergh Blvd.
