Public
recognition of wetland values begins with education. Our goal
is to offer the opportunity to people of all ages to become
better acquainted with wetland values, and to encourage them
to work as advocates for the preservation of wetlands wherever
they may live. To this end, we offer you a list of additional
reference sites.
Investigate
"Watersheds". The Pennsylvania
Department of Environmental Protection provides
tons of information on the Darby and Cobbs Creek watersheds,
including demographics, stream monitoring, educational opportunities,
and citizen action groups. These sites also include "getting
started" advice, a place to find "free stuff",
and an online environmental educator.
